Dr Chau Nguyen received her Undergraduate degree from Melbourne University Dental School in 2000 and furthered her studies with a Postgraduate Diploma in implants. She went on to teach at the University of Melbourne where she taught dental undergraduate students as a clinical demonstrator for crown and bridge.
Dr Chau has had extensive experience in all aspects of dentistry having worked in public community centres, country Victoria and now private practice, giving her the highest level of dental knowledge and experience for her patients.
Her special interests include implant dentistry, emergency care, cosmetic restorations and complex rehabilitation. Dr Chau regularly attends personal development courses and seminars in order to keep up to date with the latest dental knowledge, technology and methodology.
Dr Chau in her free time enjoys competing in the local dragon boat team, canoeing along the Yarra River, playing a round of golf with friends, and sitting down with a good book.
Joyce graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2006 with honours. Since then she has gained experience working in private and community practices across Queensland and Victoria. Joyce believes in the comfortable and respectful delivery of high quality dental treatment. She has special interest in preventative and restorative dentistry and believes in maintaining a life-long smile. When not practicing she enjoys spending time with loved ones, including her adopted cat Dumpling.
Joyce is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Dr Baxter enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including periodontal treatment, crown and bridge work, tooth whitening and extractions. In particular she enjoys treating children and introducing them to good oral habits. Rochelle aims to provide a fun dental environment in which children can be introduced to good dentistry. She believes that positive dental experiences will have lasting benefits for children and encourage a positive attitude to lifelong dental health. She has a keen interest in orthodontics.
Dr Baxter is a caring and compassionate dentist who enjoys making her patients feel comfortable and safe during their dental treatment. With a conservative and preventative approach to dentistry, Dr. Baxter enjoys helping patients feel in control of their dental care and believes that dental health is integral to total health, and that prevention is much better than cure.
Rochelle has been a member of the Australian Dental Association for over 15 years. She regularly attends conferences and professional development courses to extend her knowledge and keep her up with the latest technologies and scientific advancements within the dental field. Rochelle has a relaxed, friendly personality which reflects well during her time with patients.
Rochelle is an avid gardener who loves cooking, especially if the produce is home grown. She and her husband Andrew love to spend time with their three children. They enjoy camping, outdoor cooking and their menagerie of animals. She is on the committee for the Yarrambat Netball Club after spending two years as the treasurer. She is a member of the Hurstbridge Adult Riders Club and the Hurstbridge Pony Club.
Dr. Mihir Hargovan graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 with honours. Since graduating, Mihir moved to Shepparton where he has had extensive experience in both public and private practice. He previously held a senior position at Goulburn Valley Health and was a lecturer and clinical demonstrator in Dental Science at the University of Melbourne, supervising and mentoring final year Dental and Oral Health Therapy students.
He is passionate about all aspects of restorative dentistry and oral rehabilitation and is currently completing a Masters of fixed and removable prosthodontics at King’s college in London. He is committed to providing patients with the best possible, evidence based treatment.
Outside of dentistry, he is a keen traveller and sports enthusiast.
At the start of 2017 Candice said goodbye to Queensland and relocated to Melbourne. Candice’s previous experience working for Queensland Health has equipped her with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide excellent service to patients of Diem Dental. In her free time, Candice loves trying new restaurants and cafes around Melbourne, playing netball and getting down to the beach.
Alice is the newest member of the Diem Dental team and is currently undertaking training to become a dental nurse. Alice comes from a customer service background having worked in retail for the last 4 years. She is passionate about patient care and she is always looking for new ways to help patients enjoy their dental experience. Alice is fluent in French and enjoys boxing and going to art exhibitions during her days off.
